Last weekend at the studios we had a ladies day – Fizz, chocolates and a mini make-over.

The day started with a glass of fizz on arrival at the photography studio. Followed by a brief chat about what was going to be happening.

We always, on these styles of shooting days discuss the sessions and the involvement with the client over the phone at booking, and then on arrival run through the process – like how the poses are going to be done, where I want them to stand and then what we will be doing with the images for viewing.

The clothing is chosen by the clients – what they generally feel comfortable in. Make-up and style is decided upon by both client and make-up artist at the time. These sessions lasted around 30 mins for the make-up and 30 mins for the photoshoot. These 1 hour sessions are often offered to people for FREE, due to the MUA – makeup artist – wanting to gain experience or in the case of this shoot, Danii Walsh was in her final year of makeup and theatre art, therefore asked if she could gain some working hours and experience with the studio. We often work with students or offer free makeovers to the local community here in Horwich, Bolton. If you are interested in being considered for any offers that come along in the program of this photography studio then please consider signing up to our email in the form on this page.

The shoot was also with the support of local chocolatier Rivington Chocolates who with 48 hours noticed provided us with freshly make chocolates for the clients to take home with them as a thank you for helping us and the makeup artist build up a portfolio and gain some work experience.
